Lada Chizhova is an illustrator, muralist, and author. Born in Novoaltaysk, Siberia in 1991, she spent her childhood in a small town near Vladimir and later lived and studied in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Literary Arts from the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute in Moscow. Since 2022, she has lived in Mannheim, Germany, with her family as a political migrant.
As a visual artist, Lada collaborates with picture book publishers —  Fischer Sauerländer and Little Gestalten — and with international brands, magazines, and cultural initiatives. Her practice spans traditional and digital media, embracing a continuous exploration of graphic techniques and visual experimentation. Beyond paper and screen, her large-scale murals adorn public spaces in Germany and Spain.
