Client: Georg Breuer Winery
Project Description: Winemaker Theresa Breuer invited me to create an artwork for the Berg Schlossberg 2023 Riesling. Each year, a guest-artist designs the label for this special wine. Here, you can learn more about the “Art and Wine” project and explore past works.
For this collage, I was inspired by the location of the winery and vineyards — the charming town of Rüdesheim on the Rhine, the vast sky, the perfectly lined vineyards, the tansy and chicory growing along the paths, and, of course, Theresa’s incredible energy. Her joyful dog Louie even made it onto the label!
The collage I created for Georg Breuer Winery is now part of their private collection and can be viewed at their vinotheque. In addition to the final label artwork, I also created two more pieces.
